Big Shea Scrubby Bar in Dragon’s Blood
Handcrafted Small Batch Soap
Vegan, eco-conscious, and SLS, phthalate, & sulfate free.
The Big Shea Scrubby Bar is just that – a big scrubby bar, loaded with skin-loving shea butter. Walnut shell throughout the entire big bar lends the bar it’s teeth, for those who like a little nibble with their cleaning. This bar is one of our lower lather soaps, and tends to stand up to water for longer than most. Still, make sure you keep it out of water between uses, and let it dry off.
Note: We *really* don’t recommend putting this bar in a soap saver bag. It’s meant to be used directly on your skin.
Color: Charcoal Black, colored with charcoal.
Fragrance: Dragons Blood – the soft, heady aroma of fine, exotic incense. A luxurious blend of amber and myrrh, with cozy sandalwood and patchouli.
Made with our own formula, extensively tested on a wide range of skin types to be cleansing but not drying. A lovely blend of Coconut oil, shea butter, and RSPO Certified Sustainable Palm oil.
Comes sealed in biodegradable shrink wrap.
Bar weight: 4.6 oz.

A friend got me hooked on all of Abby’s soaps, and I finally ran out and needed to restock. I LOVE the scrubby bars, and as a mild eczema sufferer these really help to get rid of the extra dead skin I’ve always got. Proceed with caution around your naughty bits if you choose peppermint! Anyways, all of the soaps make my skin feel fantastic and hydrated. Thanks for making such fantastic soaps!
I keep this bar at the laundry room sink where I wash my hands multiple times a day. The scrubbing aspect is excellent at removing paint, soil, glue, and other dirt that I often find on my hands. Unlike other scrubbing soaps, Lava for example, my hands do not end up dry after multiple uses. An extremely useful attribute given how often I wash my hands. Highly recommend!
I energy infused this to aid in my energetic hygiene and spiritual practice. I use it on the bottoms of my feet daily even if I'm using my Subtly Sultry or a different one. Then I use it all over a few times a week or before a ritual or energy work session. It has me the perfect mix of floating and grounded by the time I leave the shower. My friend got another one of these in my order, and her parents kidnapped it lmaoo. So get it! You need it! About to go buy some more lol
Super fast shipping and the soap is WONDERFUL
I love love love the scent and feel of this soap...Tabula Rasa has never disappointed with their non-drying, beautifully crafted luxury soaps!! I was going to give two away but I'm not sure I want to!!
Walnut shell is considered an aggressive and delightfully biodegradable exfoliant. We use a very generous amount in our scrubby bars in hopes the extra splurge will get you extra clean.
Shea Butter is traditionally used in soap making to add a dense, creamy, moisturizing lather and contributes to making a harder, longer lasting bar. We use shea in our scrubby bars because it holds up well to vigorous rubbing (against your skin) without drying it out. Ahem.
Coconut oil is a soapmaking favorite! It contributes an abundance of fluffy lather, even in the hardest of water.
Palm Oil has a slippery history, but RSPO certified palm oil helps protect the rainforests and farmer’s livelihoods, while also helping your bar last much longer in your shower.
Kaolin clay adds a little slip to your lather so your washcloth glides over your skin, while also helping the fragrance last longer in your bar.
Sodium hydroxide – often called lye – is the magic-maker in cold process soap. It’s what’s responsible for taking all those oils and turning them into soap. We formulate our soap so there’s no lye left in our bars.
Sodum Lactate is considered a humectant, which means it draws water to it, but in soap making, it helps firm up bars so they don’t crack and last longer in your shower. It’s made from fermenting corn and beets, which we think is pretty cool.
Sodium Citrate is one of two ingredients we use to counter hard water. Sodium Citrate helps balance the pH of our bars and softens the water a bit so the lather washes right off – taking the minerals that cause that hard water film on your skin with it.
Sodium Gluconate is one of two ingredients we use to counter hard water. Sodium Gluconate helps bind up some of the minerals that make water hard so the lather washes right off – taking the minerals that cause that hard water film on your skin with it. It does double duty as a gentle natural preservative, too.
Our fragrances are phthalate free and skin safe, always. We often blend our own with essential oils safe for skin. Our fragrance free bar is just that: no fragrance added at all.
We love color, but we understand that you don’t want to step out of the shower looking like a cartoon character. We use skin-safe, cosmetic-grade mica and pigments, activated charcoal. and natural clays in all our soaps.
